Villa Muggia: Lakeside Aristocracy & Borromean Grandeur

Set against the dramatic backdrop of Lake Maggiore, our multi-day residency for a couple from Boston was a masterclass in lakeside aristocracy.
The journey began at the iconic Grand Hotel des Isles Borromées, a landmark of Belle Époque elegance that has hosted royalty and literary legends like Ernest Hemingway for over a century. Here, we curated an intimate welcome dinner, setting an intentional tone of historic prestige for the weekend ahead.

Utilizing our 'Experience Architecture' approach, we moved beyond the traditional to orchestrate a full immersion into the Borromean Gulf.
We managed complex water-based logistics, including a private boat fleet to explore the crystalline waters and guided cultural tours of the legendary Isola Bella and Isola Madre.

The celebration culminated at Villa Muggia, a 19th-century architectural treasure known for its panoramic terraces and lush botanical gardens. By bridging the villa's stately heritage with high-production technical management—including immersive al-fresco dining on a balcony and a cinematic late-night celebration—we created a radiant sanctuary where the couple’s Bostonian legacy met the timeless soul of the Italian lakes.
